USA declares another 14 mn Pfizer vaccines for Bangladesh

United States of America- USA administration has declared another 14 million Pfizer vaccines for Bangladesh under COVAX. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken told while he was moderating a High-level Ministerial Virtual Meeting on Covid-19 and beyond.
Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen and 25 other Foreign Ministers participated in the meeting.
Citing the foreign mninster Dr Momen a reliable source from the ministry has confirmed about the vaccine pledge of USA.
Bangladesh demanded the vaccines to be made public good affordable to all countries, and assist and encourage pharmaceutical companies like that of Bangladesh to produce it locally, the source confirmed.
Bangladesh has distributed 78 million doses of Covid vaccines and 46 million have been pushed as first dose while 2nd dose to 32m people, foreign minister mentioned in the meeting.
Good news is, infection rate in Bangladesh now is around 1% and only 2 died on Wednesday and only one died on Tuesday of Covid-19, Dr Momen informed.
