Light to moderate rain likely
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy falls at isolated places over southern part of the country.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, according to a Met Office release here today.
The deep depression over East Central Bay and adjoining Northeast Bay moved westwards and intensified into a Cyclonic Storm 'GULAB' over Northwest Bay and adjoining west central Bay. It is likely to move West-Northwestards further. The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajsthan, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Centre of the Cyclone to Assam across Bangladesh. Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
Country's maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded by 36.8 degree Celsius at Mymensingh and minimum temperature today was recorded by 24.4 degree Celsius at Tangail. Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6:00am today was 54 millimeters (mm) at Dhaka.
Today's sunset at Dhaka at 5.50pm and tomorrow's sunrise will be at 5.49am.
